At one point this guy was the hottest property in the market; Madrid, Milan, Manchester, us and others were after his signature as he was making sounds of becoming a future great.
So what happened? Now playing at a mid table club in England with only an £11 million coup for Ajax? I don't get it, did Ajax wait too long to sell, or was the price too high so teams looked elsewhere?
He's actually really impressed me this season, whether it's because again he's playing in a small club, and is the main man, I don't know; but there's talent there and too much for Tottenham to handle.
