Just looking at the odds for the next Celtic and Rangers managers, I know the Bears want Ally to leave and it's well documented I think Lennon should leave in the summer too. The names do not look too inspiring, but who is everyone's preference for the next manager of their club?
Celtic
Manager | Odds |
Owen Coyle | 4/1 |
Malky Mackay | 10/1 |
Henrik Larsson | 11/1 |
Jackie McNamara | 12/1 |
David Moyes | 14/1 |
Rangers
Manager | Odds |
Stuart McCall | 4/1 |
Brian Laudrup | 8/1 |
Terry Butcher | 8/1 |
Billy Davies | 10/1 |
Derek Adams | 20/1 |
None of those names inspire me for us. Such a disappointing list. We need a manager who tries to play football, so we can actually keep the ball in Europe. I am not being overcritical of our style in Europe- it's something you have to do to get results. Even Real Madrid last night had little possession.
We need an identity though. I hate the current Samaras orientated tactics in Europe, it's uninspiring and dull. That's why with him leaving we now have the chance to become either a team that keeps the ball, or try and buy quick athletic players and be a great counter-attacking team.
I quite like Paolo Sousa, he did a lot of good work at Swansea which has been continued up until now.
As a matter of interest, am I (and Ritchie if you still exist) the only one who wants to see a change?
