Margate v Wolves

OMG!

As a youngster I used to follow Margate, the town of my birth, and it was the pleasure I got from watching the Saturday afternoon matches, and evening floodlit games after school, that got me hooked on football.

Later in life, my time spent at Wolves Polytechnic, and working in the old Molineux Hotel ignited my passion for Wolves.

Younger son sent me text to tell me that the 2 loves of my life will be meeting in a friendly in July, at Hartsdown Park.

OMG!

I hope I can. Will probably be in the Philippines during July - hoping to head out straight after the Monty Python O2 Arena gig. Will I be back in time though..?

Priorities Bute.

Monty python doing a few gigs? Is that the first time on a long time or have they always done a few?

I have never been to Margate so this might be a good excuse. But I guess this will be an U21 pre season game in reality

I now see the Margate Wolves connection. Bob Laslett, Chairman of Chaucer, who was on the Wolves Board, and who is originally from Kent, with Margate connections, has bought the club.

The MFC website says "Kenny Jackett will bring a Wolves Xl to face Terry Browns side with kick off at 19:30." It's a Friday night game, so if anyone fancies a weekend at the seaside...
