Wolves hammer prem side Sunderland 4-1

Thanks to a fine goal from in form Dave Edwards and 3 well taken penalties by new signings Toby Craddock, Luke Craddock and Joseph Craddock, Sunderland were put in their place by a far superior Wolves side.
Sunderland's opening goal by Niall Quinn was immmediately followed by the the old fella hobbling off to be replaced by someone half his age.
Dave Edward's strike came as a result of a robust challenge in mid field by Alex Rae who then fed the ball out to Sylvan Ebanks-Blake who's fine cross was met with perfect timing by the Welsh international.
After his goal Edwards also left the field of play but this was seen as a ploy by manager Mick McCarthy to give the struggling visitors a chance.

Seriously though, a very entertaining match. Thanks to the Sunderland players for being such good sports. Thanks to the Sunderland fans who made the effort to travel all the way down to Wolverhampton to join in the fun. I hope you all enjoyed your day as much as we did.

Highlights of the day for me:

Jody switching shirts to play for Sunderland thereby disrupting an otherwise solid defence and allowing us to score.
Seeing Matt Murray back between the sticks.
Kevin Phillips not scoring!
Niall Quinn's cracking goal.

But number 1. seeing Toby Craddock running around like a normal, healthy little boy. That made the whole day worthwhile.

Well done everyone.

Heard that Elokobi may have a future as a goalkeeper

No mention of Wolves cheating, though, eh

Three penalties scored by three players that were signed outside of the transfer window, and the other one conceded by Jody the spy
Apart from that Alex Rae, the traitor, should have been playing for Sunderland . . . . robbed of another 3 points, and I'm disgusted

The cheating barstewards

Dry your eyes Gordon,
Old age and treachery beats youth and enthusiasm every time

It does, like

I got the story slightly wrong, too . . . . that's a sign of old age

By 'youth and enthusiasm' I presume that you're reference was to Sir Niall and SKP (Super Kevin Phillips)
