PLAY- OFF CHANCES ?

With the weekend rapidly aproaching ,i wonder how many of us would put money on us reaching the final and winning the play offs . Certainly with our injuries it has rather deflated me somewhat ,and i wonder what team Gary will field in the first leg. No matter what happens we have had a good campaign ,and to reach the play offs , is an excellent achievement . Personally i wont be too fussed should we miss out ,for several reasons firstly it could be a grave season next year , with defeat after defeat to look forward too . Our fan base is still very poor and unless that improved im sure we would possibly lose money as im sure costs would spiral , wages ,etc .We are where we are ,a good solid league two side who maybe are already boxing above our weight . So lets go into these final matches relaxed in the knowledge that it wont be such a disaster should we miss out ,but a day at wembly would be nice.

I think we have to dip our toes into league 1 at some point , ok we had a chance last season and here we are again this season. The fact is we may not get this chance again for a long while. I would be very disappointed as a fan if the Brewers did not go for it in the playoffs. What ever happens if we go up is something any football club must deal with if they want to keep improving. On paper Burton Albion is one of the most successful football clubs in the Midlands over the last 15 years and we have come a long way from 7th teir football. If any one was told back then that
we would be challenging for 3rd teir would have said that will never happen.
Ok we will get knocked about if we go up and it's going to be a different challenge and it going to be about staying in league 1 and stabilizing.
What ever happens let's just enjoy it. I have got my tickets and my away travel is sorted. I have also renewed my season ticket.

Couldn't agree more. I've been fortunate enough to see my first team involved in seven play offs and there have been moments of pure ecstasy and also huge disappointment. The main thing is to know afterwards that you gave it all you could and have no regrets, there's no shame in losing. You don't speculate about whether you'd survive at a higher level, you just go for it and take what comes. When Swindon beat Leicester in 93 to reach the Premiership for the one and only season in our history we didn't worry about the inevitable relegation, we just enjoyed the ride, still memorable over 20 years on.

I'd give you a good chance against Southend, then who knows, it's all on the day. Whatever else I wish you all the luck in the world.

well I have also got my doubts (typical albion fan) just looked at the sky bet site and it looks like we are the also rans ok if we did get promoted we may struggle but if we get a chance let's take it may be a long while before we get another one looking forward to the home leg and hoping we can keep a clean sheet and I would love my first trip to the new wembley
