Pardew

was reading the gossip column yesterday and it appears Alan Pardews job is safe. And apparently ashley will make 60 m avialible, not that much when considering the fee cabaye was sold for.

Now this would seem shocking considering Pardews in the second half of the season in my opinion did just about enough to earn the worst manager in the league status, considering moyes and Sherwood have him stiff competition that's no small achievement.

There's always been strong rumours that pardew was given the job because he owed a gambling debt to ashley and a huge chunk of his salary goes straight back into old miles wallet. Think this is confirmation tbh.

There's no other reason I can see for pardew keeping his job, he's been truly awful, how many games did they lose after January. No club would stick by a manager like that if they had the clubs progression at heart.

What a sorry state of affairs at the club and what a dreadful way to run it. Newcastle have a great fan base, surely deserving better Than this.

Added this to the utd board also to gauge some opinions.

Eh? He's the manager of Newcastle remember so top 7 is off the cards (Funnily enough the last person to do the impossible and break into the top 7 with a poor squad and zero budget was Pardew). He finished 2nd best of the rest. Can't see how you can say he's been horrific if your expectations of a club like Newcastle are sensible ones. Their bad performances came during his ban, if he didn't get banned they would have finished 8th and close to Man Utd.

There form was appauling, I don't care what your expectations are, liverpool a expectations were to get top six.

There bad run of form was nothing short of a disgrace.

Just shows that stability for the sake of it actually causes the most instability and un rest.

Although now Fergie's gone and Moyes had that disaster at United, i think people in general are starting to clock on.

Pards, in my opinion, is a great manager. At West Ham, he had an amazing ability of buying little-known players for little money and then selling them years later for a whopping profit.

Said before, take no notice of Stretty, he's an idiot.

Love to see him argue the toss with Keano about Moyes.

Pardew is a good manager! Just look at the figures. Since Pardew became manager, Liverpool have spent +£90m, Arsenal +£57m even Sunderland +16m yet Pardew has spent -£19m.
Sound to me like the club is being used as a cash cow, and Pardew is doing well in the circumstances

why would he stump up 60m?

That would'nt improve them much. Certainly wont give the CL.. so it is a compltete waste of money. All he needs to do is keep them in the PL every year. He doesnt need to spend 60m on that

He's a . Lost the support of quite a lot of fans last season due to his drab and boring style of football and clear disdain for the Europa League. This season he relied heavily on 2 players, Cabaye and Remy. One who we've sold after a world class half season, fair play to him and another who we don't own. Clearly doesn't want to win a cup or even challenge for one shown by teams he puts out and cannot work with genuine attacking talent because they don't 'work hard enough' in the shape of Ben Arfa/Marveaux. Same guy who thought Mullins and Harewood were better for his team than Tevez and Mascherano.

I know a lot of fans and the worst thing is they're just apathetic, not even angry or sad.

He got banned for headbutting a player you nugget. No point saying if he didn't get banned when it's his own fault.
