The negatives were there before Cellino bought in, they're not of his making

Go on then LIW. - do a Jonty and find a post of mine from last year when I said we needed major surgery.

Not sure you will though. I certainly can't ever remember saying it.

I think when GFH bought the club from Bates everyone was relieved and happy, and that was the main focus at time.

Then GFH got rid of Bates of the board or as the honourary whatever he was back then (I can think of a few thousand names), that sent everyone into raptures; I think everyone believed then we had finally got rid of the old git face.

This action by GFH raised their popularity in the eyes of the fans, or most fans, which in turn blinded just about everyone to the real GFH.

Cellino inherited a quagmire of problems, both visible and hidden from Bates and GFH, including " I'm a staunch Leeds fan Flowers", and now Sports Capital have issued a winding up order of LUFC.

These people who are seeking a winding up order/s are obviously from another planet or acting totally stupid; I find it hard to believe a judge would wind up LUFC for, what it is 850,000 quid?

And they say businessmen are suppose to be educated and intelligent.......yes, of course they are.

Cellino needs a bit of time to sift through the problems he's inherited, which all seem to be financially related. Chances are, he'll probably come across a few he hasn't discovered yet.

There's an obvious big reason why Harvey didn't want Cellino in, we can speculate, but I'm betting Bates is connected.

Stoopo

Am not bothered about proving if I was right or wrong.

But people are missing my point

What where hearing is Excatly the same has we are hearing before

Gfh won't be skint, there a bank

Gfh need to sort out bates mess

Now hearing the same about cellino

Am not saying cellino won't be good, am just saying what I see at the moment

I just don't get this blind trust of him

LIW what are you seeing at the moment?

I agree with Perth.

The negatives are from before Cellino came in.
Bates created his own problems, as did GFH. So far, Cellino hasn't create a mess of his own, so for the moment, we need to give him the benefit of the doubt. He's doing some pretty drastic things to save money, but if he does end up improving our debt, then surely that's a good thing.

He shouldn't have said he was going to buy back ER though.

I'm waiting to see what happens over the summer with regards to the playing side of things.

It's like having management consultants in. We're not having cutbacks we're streamlining, people aren't bring made redundant, they're being rightsized.

While I won't blindly follow mc I ain't too concerned at this preset moment in time.

He just bought the club and the transfer market is closed.

If the club is leaking money sorting out the leak before you pour more water into it makes sense, regardless of how much money you have or are willing to invest.

I don't see the issue with us sorting out the clubs losses before he buys any players as we can't buy players anyway

Exactly matty. Hell I'd love to see elland rd bought and messi on his way, but to be honest if it was my money I i'd be looking to stop the rot first. Massive cutbacks are dangerous if you don't understand all the repercussions, but given he's run a club before, we 'll have to wait and see if he understands the essential from the fluff.

The reason he hasn't bought ER (as far as I can tell anyway) is that there is a winding up order which will freeze any bank account movement (purchases not expenses) which will stop him from buying the ground.
Also the rent is paid until November it has been reported so whatever the monthly rent is, that has been already paid for another 5-6 months, buying it now will be basically taking that rent and throwing it away. Considering he's pinching every penny he can (turn the lights off on your way out of TA?) I can't see him throwing anything away he doesn't have to, quite rightly so, and I'm sure his promise on ER is more about his own 'football club running' ideas than us wanting it (he's wanted a stadium for a very long time reports show) so I just don't see him NOT busting it when the timing is right.

Right now, he does appear to be sorting out the skeleton of staff before anything else and I be no problem at all with this.
