From those players that have already gone, if they were averaging £5k per week, that is £60k saving per week, or £3m per year.
If the other 3 go, we are probably looking at players on average twice as much as that, so that's another £30k per week, or £1.5m per year.
Loads of other staff made redundant, other costs being looked at, but probably not yet covered the alleged £1m per month saving required. And we still need to bring in some other players. Clear reliance on youth.
I can see nearly every experienced player being shown the door or enticed to go - Tonge, Norris, Pearce, Hunt, Morison - although how many of them would leave in the end is anyone's guess. Can't see any tearing up their contract or being in demand until they have been frozen out for a few months.
