I've been in and around this site for about 3 years and have posted regularly for the best part of 1 year so I;d like to think most on here know that I'm not the sort of person who would normally go around looking to be offended by stuff but I came across Mr McGillivans latest piece of "journalism" (I use the word journalism quite loosely) and I noticed a paragraph he had written where he states
"The sequence of events that ended in June 2012 withe the club established in 1872 lying in a lifeless heap at the bottom of the Marble Staircase was almost entirely created by important people at top of said staircase"
Is it just me that thinks he is attempting to reference the Ibrox Disaster? At best the statement is ill advised and at worst malicious.
I am more inclined to believe the latter but I'm not sure if thats just me reading too much into it.
