Nir Biton- calls for him to be sacked

Its all erupted on twitter because Biton has posted a message in support of Israel.

I mean come on, Israeli in supporting Israel shocker. There's a big thing being made of it and folk are wanting him sacked for supporting "child murderers". Now I can appreciate that folk might have different views on the current Middle East conflict but surely he should be allowed to hold a different point of view without being persecuted or hounded.

Im not being funny and I know its best to avoid political stuff but the lads a great player and I wouldn't want to see him driven out by some morons in our support who are offended that not everyone at the club thinks like they do.

What with songs sung by a section of our fans about a certain group whose victims included innocent children I cant help but feel its a case of people in glass houses throwing stones.

I should also add that Im not trying to open up a can of worms with regards to Irish politics merely that I dont think these people are in a position to be pontificating on this particular subject.

I may as well start talking about the crimes of white people around the world in reference to the Scottish independence debate... It's pretty meaningless...

As far as I can tell its just a tactic to appear to build up some general image of Muslims as evil in general to make out its okay that the Israeli mistreat them...

Not a fan of that kind of stereotyping personally... It led to some pretty disturbing events in the middle of the 20th century, which is kind if ironic given that its usually the Israeli supporters that practice it...
