“I don’t think so," said Rodgers when asked if there is an issue of Liverpool attracting top talent following Sanchez’s snub. “That was one where geography dictated where he wanted to go - simple as that. It’s been the other way.
“Lots of players are really impressed by what we are doing as a club and really excited about coming to Liverpool.
“It wasn't due to a lack of ambition by the club. It was about where the player and his family wanted to choose to live."

I actually quite like Rodgers but these are pathetic, classless comments from him. Basically saying the reason he moved was because we're in London . Funny how the geographical location of clubs like United and City hasn't stopped top players wanting to go there yet it's some massive issue with Liverpool
Fack off Brendan, Sanchez would have moved to Arsenal over you if the Emirates was in Ukraine or Gaza, stop making pathetic excuses and move on
Rodgers' laughable Sanchez claims

Doesn't make sense? Pretty easy to understand really. Rodgers made that up. And it backfired. By then Suarez was training by himself and was in a pretty bad spot with Liverpool.
Can't forget about the Swansea and Allen ordeal where he promised them he wouldn't come back for any of their players when he left.

You can't remember it then.. he wouldn't go for any Swansea players unless another club also made a move.
That's what happened with Joe Allen, another club made an offer so we also made an offer.
As far as Suarez goes, he thought the £40m release clause superseded anything, when obviously we didn't take it to mean another premier league club.

^ waste of commenting time, Rodgers would've spoken in Spanish.
Must've took you a while to type that to get it shot down in one or two lines.

To be fair, Sanchez chose location over success, but thats not a new thing, some footballers just don't have the desire to win things and aim low.
Still a good player mind, and lets be honest, he has already been to the top with Barcelona, this is a nice pay day as he begins to take his foot off the gas.
