Evans is right footed but has often slotted in at left back for Northern Ireland, so has plenty of experience in a left sided role

Evans needs to toughen up and get his concentration spot on. He could become a mainstay for us even. I like all our CBs but just feel each one of them would benefit playing alongside somebody better than all of them. Now that's the problem.
We should have been in for Benatia, €35m if need be

For me i think the 3 CM positions are filled by Herrera Mata and probably Carrick now he has said its 3 5 2. No forwards needed. either in my opinion.

Tulip - couldn't agree more. Would still hope a top CB is brought in but hard to know with LVG

I'd say the answer is in the question there.

We have Herrera, who has won me over already, but is only one man. We need quality back ups, Europe or not.

Carrick has one or two years left and I rate him highly.

After that we struggle.

Forget Mata as a CM as i don't think he is one.

So it boils down to Fellaini, Cleverley and Fletcher.

I think Cleverley will game a decent amount of game time

well its the advanced CM or the bench for Mata in a 3-5-2 mate.

Maybe LVG will spend big if a top class CB or CM because available however i think its most likley going to be a couple of young Dutch defenders

Probably depends who is available and who we can move on. We have a big squad, don't forget, so moving players out as well as buying players is needed.

I think who is available will also inform what set up we'll use, despite what LVG says, because if we can get a top cb and cm it'll allow us to play a back four more effectively (even though I think we'd suit a back four better anyway, but that's another debate).
