Ladies and gentlepeople’s welcome to the critically acclaimed Hungarian Grand Prix race thread brought to you by the Mark Twain of the motorsport board. After a cracking, crash filled and FIA conspiracy fuelled GP in Germany last week won by the glory hunter from Finland, we now visit the Hungaroring for the next race prior to the summer holiday. 3 whole weeks without Formula 1. Thankfully soccer ball is back soon!
So, what did we learn from the last race;
1) Valteri Bottas is the biznaz and Williams are now the old McLaren as the new McLaren are rubbish
2) Hamilton is still the king of overtakes, was lucky to avoid some punishment from the stewards and he really should have been more patient with JB as he could have finished second. Dropped points for him but was a supreme charge
3) A lot was made of the FRIC but truth be told, what the FRIC was it all about, nothing’s seriously changed
4) Ricciardo is the real deal; he was compromised at the start but charged through the field. If he was not compromised, he would have schooled the finger again.
5) The FIA and Bernie clearly want Rosberg to win the championship, not bringing out the safety car for Sutil’s spin and park on the track and endangering the lives of Marshalls was a disgrace. Cheated Bottas and Hamilton of a chance to win the race.
6) K-Mag drove excellently as well to salvage points after a disastrous start and I’m sorry but Felipe was to blame for that crash.
7) Rosberg is as German as I am
Anyways, we are at Hungary and Hamilton is the most successful driver on the grid here, which means he will not win the race. There I jinxed it for him
It generally is boiling hot at this race so anticipate a shake- up in midfield. Overtaking is also notoriously difficult, so do not expect a lot from the finger .
As usual you can find out all the cool stuff from www.formula1.com, can’t be bothered to copy and paste today.
Due to the behaviour of some naughty posters, I have to bring back the thread rules
1) Creative wumming is welcome
2) Calling anyone a fanboy will result in an immediate ban
3) Posting opinions not backed up with facts will result in mockery
4) Whining about being mocked will result in posters mocking you more
5) Posting wild conspiracy theories is welcome, the wilder the better
6) Making fun of Button or Whitmarsh will result in an immediate ban except the joke is funny. Truthhurts, you have been warned!
So without further ado, comment on the race thread, now!
P.S. Special mention to Anfield RAP, apologies for not posting this earlier, I forgot

Tbh I think if Hamilton was out of the title race then I'd expect him to play 2nd fiddle. But he's bang in the middle of a title race with his teammate and I don't think this sort of stuff is on
Not only is Hamilton having to deal with the lionshare of bad luck, a teammate who imo quite clearly ruined the chance of Hamilton beating him to pole in Monaco, but also favouritism to his teammate within his own team.
I find it utter bullocks that Mercedes would ask Hamilton to move aside in order to gain extra constructor championship points, I mean who the feck have they got be worried about?
At least Lauda seems to be on Hamilton's side - but that's about it at Mercedes.
Personally I hope he wins the championship, leaves and joins Ferrari

TBF welshy, i really dont think there is any favouritism at all, i dont think the team orders where a case of favouritism. i agree they where wrong to make that call, however the call should of been "lewis, dont hold up nico if he can pass, you are on different strategies"
As it happened, nico, on faster tyres, couldnt catch his team mate (and theres a debate whos the better driver hahahahahah). The gap at best got down to half a second, and then rose back up to circa 1.2 seconds before Nico pitted.
All in all, blown out of proportion. Lewis was easily the best driver on the grid, however arguments could be made for Ricciardo, who i am sorry, is just brilliant and for me is slowly becoming as good as Fernando and Lewis.
All in all, a fantastic grand prix and advert for F1, even the missus was shouting at hamilton for "letting" ricciardo past. and my god, my missus hates F1.
Races like this dont half make me laugh seeing the hamilton haters eat there own words!

Whenever Bernie tries to whine about the show, a race delivers. Bahrain first now Hungary.

Thanks. I don't know how I managed that many points on a seemingly low result. There is a problem with the site at the moment so I can't check.

They'll take their time in updating the website as it's the summer break.
You got 9 of your drivers in the top 10 which is worth 20 risk bonus points and you got 12 points for Button spot on, 6 points for Vettel spot on, 8 points for Massa one position away, 3 others 2 positions away (1 point each) and 1 point for pole time guess.
