I think Southampton still have a bit about them. It will allow players like Gaston Ramirez, Ward-Prowse and Wanyama to shine. The squad they did have would have probably been able to take on the top four within a few years so it's a shame that they've disintegrated but they'll still be a midtable team at them.

I'm not sure that I understand the logic behind this signing but I guess you have to assume that Wenger has a plan. I just hope it's one where Jenkinson is still involved.

Although I know I said that this could be the end of Jenko, it may not be so if Chambers was bought to develop into a center back to eventually replace Mertesacker.

Jenkinson isn't that good.

People need to remember, Debuchy is 29, so Jenkinson still has hope if the fans are that desperate for him to play.
