Ospina, Debuchy, Chambers, Sanchez, (Campbell - like a new signing).
These are all very good signings.
And yet when I look at our squad I see no steel.
And that is why when we come up against United and Chelsea we will lose both games comfortably. Our midfield will get by-passed and Giroud won't make a dent. And so we are effectively playing a 34 game season with a 6 point deficit to those two sides.
We desperately need a class DM (much more than we need a CF) and these signings won't pull the wool over my eyes.
Arteta/Flamini are very good squad players but have no place in the first XI of a side gunning for the Premier league.
We are now only 2 players away from being a genuine contender (much closer then we have been for years). Our squad is looking pretty good but Wenger needs to get out there and get us Khedira or Schneiderlin.
£66m-£12m (Vela/Djourou/Eisfeld) = £54m.
I think we can afford another outlay of circa £20m on a DM. I hope Wenger does too.

£18m for Chambers would have been the £18m Everton would have needed for Lukaku. Seamus Coleman would have been better but never mind. You don't think like Wolves do you?

Now that he's been down in the "mines" he has a massive chip on his shoulder. This creates a need to sound off against the bigger clubs and we're unlucky to be top of an alphabetical list. Funny thing is, he supports a club that lives beyond its means and is wumming the gooner board.
