All the reasons you gave are bollox. The main reason is that he's never played as a DM on his own and most likely doesn't have the tactical awareness to play the role

Wilshere did play as the holding midfielder quite a few times before his injury and did a good job there. I preferred him there to further forward so yes, I think he could do a job there. Probably shouldn't risk his as our main player there though unless he can prove himself first, so I still think we need to sign a proven player for that role.
