But santo's pricing of Ganso is similarily high isn't it? I would prefer Moutinho, I think Ganso's a bit over-rated, still drifts in and out of games and is pretty injury prone. I've heard he also has a suor attitude.

I think we are just looking at him and what price/wages would be as a back up option to Modric/Moutinho.

I think ganso is around 25m whereas moutinho is around 33m. My problem with moutinho is that i have heard that he is more box to box than a creative player and so wouldn't solve our problem

He is a play maker, which is what we need in the centre. The creativity will come form Mata.

I saw Porto play twice last season and wasn't convinced by him at all. Although mata will be creativity, we need that player who will link the forward line and the midfield and transfer the ball swiftly, like silva is currently doing. We need mata to provide width more than anything. Hopefully if modric doesn't come and we get moutinho he proves me wrong

I don't think Mata will provide width because he is a player that likes to come inside and create.

He'll do both. Nani likes to come inside and create but he still provides width because when he receives the ball, he is hugging the touchline. This is what im sure mata will do.

No he is more like silva than nani. He isn't the sort of player with great pace or trickery. He is a more creative type player that chips in with a few goals.
