Strootman won't cost £79mil

You must be extremely gullible if you believe everything managers say to the media...

£35mil will be enough to get him especially if he states his desire to play for LVG. Problem is his injury...doubt LVG will risk buying him this summer as he may never come back the same player

Even at 35m, no thanks. I would rather spend an extra ten and get Vidal or half that and get NDJ or that amount and get his Roma teammate Pjanic.

I have never been enamoured with Strootman. Frankly, he is rather meh!

TRC, I used to think that about Strootman. But the more I saw of him for Roma the more he impressed me.

That said, he is massively overpriced and has suffered a bad injury so it's a very risky signing.

I am in the not-yet-convinced camp with regards to Strootman, he is very much like an Edu of Arsenal for me.


Now, not bad per se and certainly an improvement on Fellaini, but i honestly feel we can do much better. He is not even in the top three midfielders at Roma

fletcher was brilliant in his 1st game under moyes, I remember thinking how come he looked a million times better than all our cm in that game

but he got worse the more time he spent under moyes

I believe he is goin to be our second choice dm under lvg at the very least

People are forgetting the number 1 reason why strootman would be a good signing for us, it's because LVG knows exactly what type of player, what he is capable of and how to best use him

LVG emphasizes how he picks players who can best adopt his systems and strootman is the first name on his holland team sheet he says

Plus, strootman had an amazing season for Roma last season until he got injured. He scored, assisted and is only 24

Typical Fletcher performance. Poor or safe passing, with the occasional tackles thrown in. Should not be near the first 11 if we want to compete for trophies. Nowadays you need a top player in every position to have a decent shot at the league. Fletcher is utterly average at his best.

we were not talking rubbish. We were saying it like it is. Kept losing possession, could not control long passes to him. We looked better with a front three of zaha, nani and kags. For anyone to say he was involved in everything is absolute mental, I now understand why you gave him the outrageous ratings you did for the world cup. Absolute joke of ratings, up there with the joke article you wrote about messi (wrote that for a reason).

Trouble with you is is a player you dislike plays well, you won't admit to it

Fletch had a good game and was all round our best player last night

That isn't me saying he should be a first choice starter for us at all. He just had a good game last night
