So in context, this meant Eric was not demonstrating his usual perky optimism that interesting things are happening. Nothing to do with wavering from a particular view of the final outcome (on that, you and I have both been equally consistent in not knowing what it will be)

My perky optimism is and always has been the same regarding the club and will continue.

Interesting things are always happening at Leeds, it's on here where it's all depressingly tedious and repetitive.

I happen to believe we are in for a rollercoaster ride of a season and have buckled up accordingly. Rose tinted glasses stapled on.

It's the ones in the cheap seats I feel sorry for, their view is obstructed by the tube they occupy.



In re the OP I reckon the players will all be chomping at the bit to play at Millwall and the competition for places for once will be a good sign.

I still hopeful for a couple more players

though what really prompted my comment, was I do recall an article you wrote calling for additional 3 players (I think) and it did seem a little less perkily optimistic than usual, - if you really want to know what made me make the comment
