Your top 5 games of all time?

What are your top 5 games of all time? I'm not a hardcore gamer so haven't played lots of games, but for me:

1) ocarina of time /n64
Got this when I was quite young with my n64 when it had been out for a few years. Best.game.ever. Literally massive, surprise around every corner, ingenious level designs, when you think you are about to finish it, turns out there's another 10 dungeons. I loved this. Worth buying an n64 on eBay just to play.

2) dark souls /xbox360
Hard as feck. Relentlessly hard. But absolutely glorious. Once you 'get it' you realise yes it's hard, but it's fair and very very intelligently designed. It may not seem like it,but there always a way to beat the giant dragons or huge demons, you just got to work it out. And the combat.....

3) Dead space 1 /Xbox
Dark room, tv turned up, play. Terrifying game.atmospheric, frightening action, good story. Closest thing to being in aliens.

4) legacy if Cain, soul reaver /ps2
Again one played when very young. Probably not on most people's lists, but I enjoyed it, good story, artwork, liked the different vampire cast designs and levels.

5) FIFA (any version)
What's better than destroying 5-0 your mate after a few beers?

In no real order

1) Zelda OOT (Classic Game)

2) SWOS - Amiga/PC version (Too many reasons to say why I still rate this better than Fifa)

3) Mario Kart Wii (The only reason I still play on Nintendos machine)

4) Vice City (GTA + 80's = )

5) Bioshock (Didn't expect much from this but it blew me away, amazing story and a great game to play too)

1). Final Fantasy 7 - Currently replaying it for the umpteenth time!

2). Final Fantasy 9 - Pretty much the perfect Final Fantasy game.

3). GTA Vice City - The other GTAs aren't a patch on Vice City. The 80's music, the 80's setting, the blurry vivid colours when it rained, the fact that I knew my way around the islands without having to look at the map. Pure bliss.

4). Warcraft 3. MMORPGs certainly are not my cup of tea so I will not be buying anything WoW related. However Warcraft 3 was one of the best strategy / adventure games I've ever played and the storyline was pretty epic too.

5). Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. (Specifically the online mode). This was the first online game I REALLY got into. The maps were brilliant, the weapons were varied and it was just fun. Also, I eventually ended up with a clan made up with dozens of people from around the globe. I could log on at any time of day and any day of the week and they're be 3+ members of our clan online. Sad I know but these were just random guys from around the globe but we'd all chat, laugh and joke. I think we've all moved on and got lives now but at the time, it made the game even more enjoyable. Also, all the preceding CoDs (bar MW3) were just appallingly bad online which makes my experience with MW1 all that more fun.

'4. GTA vice city - many many nights playing this game when it came out and shockingly I have never completed the game'

Think I only completed it for the first time last year or the year before. It was just the last mission

'the fact that I knew my way around the islands without having to look at the map'

That's the blessing/curse of the PS3 games. Lots of great detail, sharper cities, more realism, but perhaps just too much stuff at times. My least favourite thing about GTA V is that not enough of the brilliant locations were utilised in missions. Online does help in this aspect, especially the player-created missions. Hopefully any DLC will flesh out the experience a bit more.

1. GTA: Vice City. The music, the setting, the colours.
2. Metal Gear Solid 2. The game that taught me just how good games could be.
3. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Best game on PSP. One of the few games I've completed multiple times.
4. GTA: San Andreas. Just so much to do.
5. Civilization IV. You'd die of old age before you could play every mod for this game.

It's been pretty barren in the last few years for games that I truly love. Driver San Francisco was a rare blip of brilliance.

I totally agree. Half the time stuff is added for no other reason than the make the game bigger.

Really? Watched 30 seconds of a video on it online and just looked awful. Think it's about $10 in my local store so might have to pick it up then.

That's not to say that massive scale is solely a bad thing - although the world was less detailed, San Andreas' map was huge.

Flying planes, climbing mountains and parachuting are always great fun, while the long roads can host epic races or just relaxing drives - that goes for PS2 and PS3.

Is there a collection of all three Uncharted games? Because after playing TLOU I have faith in Naughty Dog and I'd be willing to give 'em a go.

You can still get the demo of Driver San Francisco on the PSN, so you could always try it before you blow any money on it.

It's a really fun game. Nice setting, looks lovely, good sense of humour, a pretty silly plot and possibly the most fun car handling I've felt in a video game. The shift mechanic is really great fun too. Can take control of other cars in order to take out opponents; it never grows old.
