PREDICTOR 2014/15
Time to cast aside our petty differences and unite under one banner to discover who is the best at predicting the outcome of Scottish football games.
Our defending champion is TROLLFECKER and he will be hoping to repeat his form in this upcoming season.
The rules are simple. Ordinarily you will have six games on which to predict the correct score. Where there are re-arranged games or a midweek card then this will feature in a game week but usually it will be six games selected from the weekend. The games involving Celtic, Dundee Utd and Rangers will be a given as that covers the support we have on here. Now that we have an Aberdeen fan posting regular and a Partick Thistle fan I will include them if they deign to take part. Otherwise the other three games are likely to come from the top division unless their is a standout game like the Edinburgh derby
Scoring is five points for a correct score prediction and three points for a correct result prediction.
I know I am a little late starting this year but that was because I thought our top division started at the same time as the English top division.
One change in the rules for this year inspired by Puyol's illness last year. If you fail to take part in a game week for whatever reason then you will be awarded points equal to the lowest score from that week. I was going to make it average points but the majority view was that lowest was fairest. If you fail to predict for four weeks in a row though you will be removed from the competition.
