Liw, I share that concern re adryan. Yes he is a talent but only 2 yrs ago he turned down red utd and barca because he didn't want to leave home. Now, cellino has had to persuade him to move to Leeds to play second division football.

He could arrive and really find it hard to settle.

That aside, it's the symbolism of the signing for me, a young talent, big fee... It's new to us.

It's only good if we spend £5m on a player if that player cuts the mustard in the league we play in.

Showing intent is all well and good short term only.

It's good to see but it's the quality product we want.

5 mill for a youngser is a luxury at this level. 5 mill for a senior is pretty much guaranteed to get u a special championship player.

Adryan is a talent, and a well known talent in "smart fan" fraternity. If Cellinos believes he will give us promotion...I'll believe him.

As for Antenucci, he is a journeyman... But so was Kevin Phillips.

Mike, you cant compare him to Kevin Phillips, Phillips smashed goals in for fun in the Premier League and every team he played for. Antenucci's goals record is not good.

Just hoping he has some technical ability.

As for the young Brazilian, will we actually be getting him and will it actually be 5m? Or a season long loan with a view to buy.

Would be a real statement if we did, but we've seen how these deals for the better players has gone.

I'd probably rather have a Wes Hoolahan, Lloyd Dyer, Adam Hammill, Andy Reid, Chris Burke, Craig Conway, Chris Eagles type player rather than the fancy Brazilian.

Proven at our level, proven in our country, proven creators of goals and who have played on a wet December night in Burnley or Bolton or Plymouth or Portsmouth
