http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/celtic/11049854/Celtic-manager-Ronny-Deila-wants-to-invest-in-facilities-ahead-of-players.html

The more I hear this guy speak the more confident I become in the clubs decision to sign him. He could just well be the piece of the puzzle we needed to get past the hurdle of being in real terms a mid tier team in European terms.
The biggest problem could be keeping him in the future if he transforms us in the manner I believe he is capable of. I know if we should happen to fail to finish the job against Maribor on Tuesday there will be those who revert to the he wasent the right man bla bla bla, we should have pushed the boat out and got so and so. For me this guy is the one to be given as long as he will stay with us. The big "IF" is offcourse weighing off short term objectives with the long term gain.
Look at many of the really successful clubs and one thing that comes through is stability and the management side of things being able to plan long term. I am not reffering to those who have had gazzillions artificially injected such as Chealsea and Man C as they are the polar opposites in stability but have the cash to totally rebuild on the whims of the replacement. Link above is just another we example of the thought process the man.Fingers crossed we are the right level for him in that he states to take most satisfaction from the nurturing of players and once you go that next step above such as ourselves the clubs become financially able to simply play pass the parcel with the finished products.
Anyways the future is bright and its Green and White

Leo we got fecked 6-1 because we played crap, they played good and we played a much to open game with the players available.
Had we adopted similar tactics as we did on Wednesday we might well have come away with a similar result in Poland. Maribor are a better side than Legia.
He is spot on when he talks about training facilities. The team aint a crowd of boys from the schemes anymore who thought Barrowfield was great becuase it was better than playing in the street.
Playing a match is a totally different thing to training in bad weather as you just play and the momentum of the game keeps you warm loose etc.
Dont know if anyof you subscribe to Celtic TV but if you do then check out some of the regular stuff they run on the training side of things. Particlarly when the weather is not at its best and check out the players. Some of the guys who have come from milder climates are look like frozen snotters
I am sure it really does wonders for the effectiveness of what the coaching staff are trying to pass on.
We are a Scottish team in name only these days and have to train accordingly both in methods and tactics , we need facilties to accomodate such.
Still got guys like Frank McAvennie banging on about getting some Scottish boys in their bla bla bla. No we dont and while I know Frank is being genuine thats by if such was the case Scotland would have made it to tournaments and we would not be reduced to fielding the odd Scot. There are some really good young Scots players coming through now but check them out how many are actually what would be classed old school Scots type players.

It's amazing that our 'visionary' leaders didn't consider this before!

Sorry JA, Legia looked a better side than Maribor. Maybe it was paetly down to us making them look good, but I'd say Legia are better

they even had an inflatable dome at barrowfield and that was about 15 years ago. Even when Rangers were in the league, it would still have been helpful to train in winter. The bears were bad but they weren't that bad

Fair play to Deila for coming out and saying it, it's not the first time I've heard Lennoxtown isn't great!

As Silver said, looks good on the outside but what good is that to the way players train?
