During the afternoon, the odds on the next manager have moved considerably.
Maran has moved from odds on, to evens and now to 6/4
Clarke has shortened from 7/1 to 5/2
And Gary Mac has shortened to 8/1 from 18/1
My personal preference would be Clarke, he has worked with some very difficult people, Bobby Robson, Mourinho and Dalglish, and with even more difficult owners, but he has always been considered as a coach first and foremost. He did well in his first year with the Baggies, getting them to an 8th place finish in the PL, and has loads of experience with foreign players and the difficulties that brings about with culture and language barriers.

All the signs are that we are in discussions with Steve Clarke. That would be a fantastic appointment. If Clarke can bring in Gary Macca has his no2.... Wow!

Peak are you being serious? Damage your reputation? Do you really think any if these managers care about that? They care about a contract, so as far as I'm concerned , anyone is available as they will quite happily be sacked and take the money anyway????

So did Gibbs after Saturdays game. Cellino tried to bring him back to replace Hockaday but Gibbs wasn't interested, hence Hockadays stay of execution for a few days.

Looking at the best prices on Oddschecker, Maran has drifted to 2/1, Clarke shortened to 5/2 and Garcia at 4/1. Others you can get at 14/1 or longer.
