One for all those supporters of clubs who keep slagging Leeds fans off by saying we are no longer rivals. There will always be a mutual disrespect between the two sets of fans.
“There are some people brought up the wrong way!" joked Sir Alex. “There is a great rivalry between Leeds United and Manchester United. It’s a shame that there was a lot of chippiness between the fans, but I would like to see Leeds United back in the Premier League. They are a big club and it is sad to see what is happening.

Doesn't necessarily mean we're rivals, he just appreciates not many games mean as much these days to the fans of both clubs of current PL teams, Mersey, North London and Manc Derbies aside. Everyone loved playing us it's as simple as that

ppl can say what they want but utd vs salford reds is a highly charged rivalry that is a modern take on the war of the roses.
i guarantee that if we get promotion, both sets of fans would be clambering for tickets.

The rivalry goes back well beyond the premier league years, there will always be rivalry. Anyone who thinks different is just plain stupid.
