Agree Batty, I also expect Wootton and possibly Byram heading out. Hopefully not though.
I'm fed up of these youth internationals, Brazil, Denmark, Slovenia, Italy, England, Wales .......
where are all the 31 year old freebies ffs

We need some more Michael Brown types, we've got too much youth.

True. Bring back Brownie!

I'll tell you what amuses me batty, all those calling for Grayson to come back. A great many folk have forgotten the comments on these pages in the months leading up to his departure.

eric, I was one who was ready to say adios to Simon.
Bit unfair on him. My anger was really directed to The cockney shyster. SG was a lot better than I and many more gave him credit for.

Absolutely right Eric. I remember clearly Bluemem and others. I blamed them for his departure. We scored a lot of goals under Grayson but his defence was awful we conceded loads of goals. But he led us to the victory over Manu(re) and one of the reasons that 5,300 Leeds fans voted Beckford as man of the match on Saturday, on a Bolton forum, and forced them to delete them leaving 350 Bolton fans votes!

I said it too. I don't hide away from that, but I gave him a chance. Just as I did with Hockaday. Just as I will with whoever comes in next.
Life isn't always fair.
Pock
There were many moaned about Grayson, more than just a couple. Some for reasons other than football, predominantly them that are holier than thou.

I blame him for his own departure, he lost his way. Bates never helped him IMO but as you say the defensive frailties hurt him badly.
Didn't know that about the poll you mention, that is funny, I wish I had known, I'd have added a vote

Grayson had it hard under Bates, but at the end of the day he had a team that season that in my opinion, was good enough to go up. When you look at what the individual players went on to do. Then you have to bare in mind that after been a lot of points clear at Christmas at the top of the table, we then just about scraped automatic.
I think he's a good manager, but I think League One is his level. I was a big fan of his, didn't think he should have been sacked, but this is all from hindsight, since he's left, things about his reign that I realised.

Grayson had a great team 2010/11 and couldn't get them into the playoffs. Snodgrass, Gradel, Becchio, Howson, Johnson...should have got atleast top 6.
People say he wasn't backed in the market, but he signed a hell of a load of players on loan. Wasted money.
He got us promoted, so well done Grayson. He got us some memorable results in the cup. But he left at the right time.
Also that whole business behind the scenes...

True words Eccers, not to mention how we had an 11 point lead slip away and we had to fight to get that last point for 2nd spot.
