Despite a decent transfer window has to be pace up front. The only speedy players we have up top (Lennon, Townsend) are unfortunately limited, which is why we struggled against Liverpool and will struggle against the better sides without quick forwards.
Hopefully this can be addressed in January and we can sign Jay Rodriguez who will bring a different dimension to a front line that doesn't spend much time in the box, and always likes to come short for the ball instead of making runs behind.
Aside from a proper goal-scorer and a pacey forward I think we have done this transfer window very well and I am looking forward to Pochettino's Spurs.

I guess you could say that Chicken, but premiership proven is a load of BS these days. Were Suarez/Costa/Aguero/Dzeko etc etc 'premiership proven' before they went to their clubs? Equally as many 'premiership proven' players have flopped at other clubs Torres/Carroll/Bentley etc.
It is a big gamble but the club has addressed key areas unlike last year when players seemed to have been picked out of a hat. Which is why I am more than content.

I'm not suggesting players who are unproven cannot prove their worth but i believe the gamble is less so if you know they have done it before. This also goes for managers. Its BS to think otherwise.
I know LVG has now spent big and so he should turn it around but i think many thought his reputation abroad would simply be enough. It isn't.
Moyes would never have been allowed to spend that much money. And thats not BS either.
