Welbeck is a pretty decent investment!

Yes he is not falcao or Cavani but let's be honest, we were never going to buy either of them two.

Welbeck has pace, power, technically sound and most importantly, he has prem experience so will need no time to adjust.

Yes he is not a preditor up front but now will get a chance hopefully with a central role at arsenal.

The transfer window has been a shambles again by Wenger but we will just have to get on with it now and hope for the best.

Welbeck could very well be that player that comes back to haunt united

It's all good saying so and so can cover at rb or cb but it's about quality replacements

It's about quality not quantity

All this signing has done is confirm what most already knew, arsenal are now fifth in the pecking order.

Bookmarked, moron.

The top four will be the same as last year, the only decision is in what order

Because we haven't needed a defensive midfielder for about 3 years now .

Whether it is this year or not doesn't really matter, the point is the other four are now bigger in terms of what they can spend and who they can attract.

You may cling on a while longer, but its downhill from here.

cinci your opinion doesn't count

a) you support wolves
b) your 2nd team Liverpool are by no means in a better financial position than us.

Nice trying to pretend Liverpool are as big as utd. We know city and Chelsea can spend whatever they wish.

The fact I support wolves is why my opinion counts.

I am not wrapped up in the bs you guys are.

Given a run as a CF, Welbeck will do well. I thought it was a loan. I am disappointed we sold him. His growth was stunted as he was played out wide a lot, our wingers were that dire. He isn't a winger. Some of our fans would cut other players slack when they are used out of position and do poorly while give grief to those they do not like (Mata and Kagawa come to mind, both used out of position and didn't do too well yet were defended).

I'm gutted we sold him, really believed he is just one decent season away from being a fantastic player. One thing I would say though is that if he didn't kick on, there becomes a point where he starts to hinder the progress of James Wilson.

Van Gaal has made a difficult decision in letting Welbeck go, but we need a manager who is not afraid of making these decisions.Could come back to haunt us in the long term, this one.
