Looking from a fan point of view it sudden me to see our league wasting billions every season on foreign players while our young talents get the cold shoulder treatment. It beggars belief the amount of money wasted on players like Falcao, Özil, Di Maria, Costa, Aguero, Mangala, Fabregas and Lukaku while the local lads are sent packing to relegation teams or championship because our big clubs are busy buying abroad to satisfy their fan-base and money men while there is no other foreign outlet that can accommodate or nurture the young local talents.
The Barclay Premier League has gotten fatter and fatter and have enriched some fat middlemen while the punters are left to foot the bill without any national success. Most of the blame lies with fans because they are most likely to give loyalty to clubs above the national team. The foreign owners are attracted to the BPL because they are guaranteed profit due to greed by the FA and our not so informed fans.
We will sadly watch £500k a week type of players within the next two years and transfer fees will sky rocket to £100m mark in current projectile. So whats the solution one may ask, firstly, we should create a quota system whereby the number of players each team is allowed to field has to be at least minimum of five or six local Britons. Capping must be introduced to curb excess wages which trickle down unfortunately, into expensive seasonal tickets. We can also regulate the influx of cheap foreign players by altering transfer fees paid for a local talent and cap it to stop the unnecessary premiums that put off buying British talents.
I hope we make enough noises to pressure the FA to stop the disaster unfolding before our eyes because we are being driven by a couple of alcoholics and somebody need to take control or we all head into a ditch like Serie A in the 90s.

A Euro league won't happen, Cinci. It's not as simple as that. And the premier league won't reduce to 20 teams, so teams won't play a Euro league and a domestic league simultaneously as it's too many games and too much travel.
Since the European Cup changed to the CL all the cynics, usually fans of clubs that don't have any money, have been saying that it's a precursor to a super league and that it will happen sooner or later.
20 years later nothing has happened and doesn't look like happening.

Cinci, you obviously don't have a clue how ffp works. United can spend £200m because our turnover is the highest in the world, even with debt and interest repayments.
It's supposedly meant to stop teams spending beyond their means. We aren't spending beyond are means.
