I'd still play him to be honest though he's not really a DM hardly is Arteta naturally. Abou brings great balance to our midfield and is a dominant player who actually has a bit of everything in his game (skill, power, aerial ability, decent pass, drive).

Him and Ramsey deep might be a bit too offensive but if people (J99) seem happy to test Wilshere in that deep role with Aaron then Diaby would be well worth a punt.

He's become a parody amongst supporters taking the mick out him being prone to injury but I hope this doesn't make most overlook the quality he brings.

If he did an RVP and somehow managed to stay fit for a prolonged period I believe our title chances would be significantly enhanced and this midfield powerhouse problem we speak of (which of course is a problem) wouldn't exist.

As the sitting DM I'm unsure about his discipline to play there but I'd consider him before Wilshere doing that job that's for sure.

If we do persist with the 4-3-3 then he gets into my best XI all day long to provide the midfield with balance and give us that extra bit of power, also performs in the big games

Despite how annoying it is that Wenger never brings in that powerhouse we need sometimes I understand that when fit Arsene must see him in training and think 'I've actually got that midfielder they all crave' until the session finishes and Diaby comes out the shower injured....
