Latest on head coach

http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/latest-whites-news/leeds-united-cellino-rules-out-redfearn-for-head-coach-job-1-6840311

Looks like Redfearn's position will be safe, but it also looks like Cellno u turning again on his comments on a British coach for Leeds:

"I have always said I wanted a British coach for this club, I am a man of my word and that is still the case."

Am expecting a cheap, out of work, foreign manager to come in now.

Some subjects are very funny, made funny by some who who don't realise what they're saying.

Experienced coach? ............. some are saying bring in a coach that's just been sacked by another club.

Get a British coach (in agreement but) ...........British coaches who are available have been recently sacked by their previous club.

All British coaches available are available cos they didn't / couldn't do the job at their last club, others have limited experience.

Doesn't matter what coach / manager you get in, if they can't do the job at Leeds they'll have the fans on their back and eventually get sacked, so back to square one.

Any coach Cellino picks can be the right one, or the wrong one, it's a chance/gamble any owner takes.

Eddie, penny pinching, see it goes back to money!

I do agree though, it feels we'll take a low cost option ahead of the right option.

Foreign and International Coach - Gordon Strachan.

Well definitely International and possibly soon to be foreign after Thursday's referendum in Scotland.

Sabella is being talked about and odds on him are dropping

Only thing guaranteed in football management/coaching is the sack, wasn't it Wilko that said that?
Finding an experienced coach whose never been sacked by another club will be very hard indeed. Especially at this level.

It's a pity that Hockaday didn't work out, we need some stability in all areas of the club. Some will say it was doomed from the outset and perhaps they were right.

I'm not of the opinion that everything Cellino says is about money, certainly not everything that appears in the press would support that notion.

Redfearn is doing a good job in the Academy, it would be foolish to change that, I've not read anywhere that the cuts Cellino made earlier this year have anything to do with this decision, that's just speculation.

Leeds United has a good number of youngsters showing potential at the present moment in time. Redfearn has been at the heart of that and bringing more through the Academy has to be good for the club financially.

I'm not of the opinion that Redfearn is the best possible option for the job anyway. Whether the new Head Coach is English, Spanish or Martian matters not to me. I want someone who can work with the current squad and within the current regime to get the best out of the players and to help us compete.

Apart from the odd game over the last two seasons, Saturday's performance was the most encouraging that I've seen for some considerable time. I had the benefit of seeing the game in the flesh and also watching it "live" on Sky 30 to 45 seconds later (together with replays).

You need to see the wood for the trees. It's a million miles from perfection but they are growing as a unit, playing football and have the potential to play as a team for years to come.

For those who feel we'll not get the "right option" in as Head Coach, who would be your choice?

Redfearn has done great where he is, it would take a brave man to take him away from there!..

Problem for Leeds United and coaches now is when you have someone picking who comes in and telling you who plays when and where, there's not a lot left for you to do, must be a little boring at times!..

The other problem is, when someone brings whoever in and you can't get them to work the way someone want's them to, then you don't last very long!..

People asking who they'd pick/want as coach, a better question might be, would you do it?..

I'd bet there's lots out there that want to but won't because they know what to expect!..

Don't disagree but there are plenty stating we won't get the right man. If that's the case, who is the right man?

Wanting an English coach does not mean he will find one that fits the bill.

Sabella now thrown his hat in the ring. He's truly an international coach!

I think MC's problem is he tries to engage with the fans and media and everything he says won't always happen.

Some call that lying.

Time to just sit back and let him run the club. He might make mistakes but hopefully not catastrophic ones like we've had in the past.

Stoopo, when Cellino makes statements like this and then does something different, you excuse him every time.
