Not sure how much a runner this is, but Sabella is quoted as saying he has unfinished business at Leeds.
He's been successful as a coach and club manager and of course as an international manager.
One would have thought his stock would be high and he'd be able to attract interest at top level clubs around the world, if so, would he really choose to come to Leeds, have little control and earn less money?
If this were to come off, it would be a massive coup for Cellino.

Jonty, why bring money into it, surely the discussion was about stability in the coaching position.
Doesn't matter if you can afford to sack them, it still proves that at any level, changing coaches doesn't have to affect a teams performance.

Can't possibly compare our club at the moment to Real, they have a proper set up, something that's been put together with decades of work/coaching structures and an ethos which is strictly followed, plus the fact they have the very best players in the world and money at their disposal that only one other club in Spain can match.
We had a great set up, which was picked apart and then sold off and neglected, the new owner hasn't started to even build anything to even resemble what we used to have and more importantly has put together a squad with lots of very average players in, brought in a cheap coach (sacked him) and looks set to continue his tradition of doing it again.
Would be great to build the club to it's strengths again and possibly then it might be relative.

Rich of course money is relevant. If you have it and you sign a duff player you just throw money at it and buy another one.
If you don't have money you find that player doesn't score goals for you, you're paying him a fortune every week and no other club wants him off your hands and you don't have the money to buy another one, sets you back years.

Same colour strip as Real.
Money is important but Cellino has been criticised for trying to get finances in order. He's criticised for not spending enough too. Seems to me he's going to get criticised either which way.
We have a European system in place now. The experiment with Hockaday didn't work. I suspect he'll be more circumspect this time around.
We've spent fortunes on duff players over the years. I saw enough Saturday to believe we're getting the playing side right and in a cost-effective manner.

And I think we're gelling......

If we're using Madrid as an example, I think they are the biggest example of how sacking managers time and time again fails.
The fact that they have 7 league titles in 26 years considering the amount they spend, they have underachieved. They should have been the dominant side in Spain.

So previous owners rip apart and <rape> our club over the space of 15 years.....and the new owner gets the blame for not sorting it out in his first 8 months?
Something that you said takes decades of work only 1 sentence prior?!
Hmmm.....

Comparing us with Real is bonkers right now.
Cellino could open an orphanage in Leeds, fully funded from his wealth, and he'd still be accused of something by some.
Bottom line, and irrespective of anything else, i'm a fan. I want my club to progress, to improve. From what I've seen so far from the playing side, we're a damn sight better than last season - and with a lot more potential.
Time will tell if that proves to be well placed optimism - but i'm happy give it all my backing for now.
And for the record - I don't think everything the guy has done is correct or how i'd see things conducted. It's his train set, he's paid for it - lets see where it takes us.

i just find it hard to understand how someone can say "previous owners ripped us apart"
Then state "the building process can take decades" (even for a club like Real Madrid)
Then blame our current owner for not sorting it all out in his first 8 months.
It's easier just to say "I dont like him" and give no reasons, rather than make things up and sound silly.
Especially when Luvr was getting ripped yesterday for saying "stupid" things.

I agree Jud............ the treatment of Luvr yesterday was out of line - by the usual suspects mind, so no great surprise. Funnily enough they're generally the first to complain when they feel they're being picked on ......
But then of course, they always know better than anyone else
