Leeds Team Compared...

To the team that played away at Bournemouth last season:

Butland

Byram - Lees - Pearce - Pugh

Murphy - Mowatt - Austin

McCormack - Smith - Hunt

(taken from the BBC website, not sure on exact positions of the midfield and forward line)

Looking at the potential team that could fit into that 433 the McDermott played, we could field tomorrow:

Silvestri

Byram - Bellusci - Pearce - Warnock

Cook - Austin - Bianchi

Antenucci - Sharp - Doukara

that's not even including Adryan or Sloth or even Montenegro or Del Fabro. I think the team we'll send out tonight will at the very least get a draw.

Based on the team that started against Bournemouth last March, what do you think of the potential team (not just the one based on McDermotts formation last season, but any potential line up) we could be putting out tonight? Better? Worse? About the same?

Not much in it really

The team from last season had 20 more goals in it than the one you listed for tonight.

Bournemouth score goals and we struggle to, so I think a draw would be an achievement right now.

Hopefully this is last time we look at teams like Bournemouth and hope for a draw.

This season will be a struggle. Can only hope that next season either the current crop of players settle and come good or we ditch them and bring in proven quality that hit the ground running.

The new team has more potential in it, no Pugh or Hunt in the line up has to be good. The Scottish striker was a great goalscorer but not so much a team player.

Equally the tall striker and the Scottish striker had their critics on here, not consistent enough or limited ability.

I think as it stands today LIW is right, not much in it but the current squad offers more for the future despite what's been said in these here parts......

Bianchi was described as being woeful for example against Birmingham, I thought he did well. Interesting article about him on t'internet today.......

433 away at Bournemouth is risky unless u have a much stronger side.

I cannot see a wise man NOT packing the midfield.

Looks like a 4-3-2-1 to me, Antenucci and Doukara on the flanks.

I like 4-3-3 away against Bournemouth, could be a right humdinger of a game..!!

The main difference with the team now is it doesn't compare age wise with the animals in Jurassic Park...!!

As someone said earlier, the new team has more potential in it.

Well the history books will suggest that this year's side is better than last year's side. Based purely on this fixture of course. Three goals from three players and all newbies.

It's going to be emotional.....
