Last night Europe's premier soccer showcase got underway with both Arsenal and Liverpool playing some kickball. Now that people have hopefully stopped hyperventilating and are getting adequate oxygen to their brains, let's play a bit of would you rather. Arsenal lost 2-0 but had to play away against a saavy Dortmund side while Liverpool hosted Ludogrets (?) but labored for a win. Who is looking better at the moment in their CL badged get-ups? Would you prefer having a difficult tie behind you despite no points or take three points accompanied by the reality that you struggled against minnows?
Thoughts?

Who wore it better?

Thanks for the inputs. I don't support either team so my views are from an outsider's perspective. I guess it is a no-brainer. Tough fixtures or no, it's almost always better to secure points. If you think back to 2011 where United got knocked out by Basel... getting tougher fixtures out of the way early means naught if you don't end with enough points.
That said, still a lot of games to be played. Arsenal a bit unlucky with injuries at the moment as well as not being too cohesive. Hopefully they get it together.. after say October 5
As for Liverpool, poor performance or no, I have to agree that winning ugly can be encouraging. Just not sure if that was the case this time though.
Cheers.

Liverpool player had to dive in the last min to win a pen.

Maybe, maybe not... but question is would you rather be in their position on yours with regards to CL group stage?

We were abysmal. Amaury Bischoff would even get in this team.

There is no way in the world that Arsenal were poorer than us last night, i dont care who either of us played.

Dortmund is a difficult place to go and Arsenal looked all over the place. They will get it sorted out as they know how to get through the group stage very well.
I think with Liverpool, apart from the Spurs game have laboured in every single game played this season. Basel may have been destroyed by Madrid but are a dangerous side.
Lfc need to be careful, the last thing you need is to finish 3rd in that group and play on Thursday
