Unleash The Ox !

Really don't understand the way he's utilised here these days. He's amongst the most talented players in the squad who needs to progress yet is limited to pointless substitution roles. He's not even used as an impact player because he comes on with less than 10 mins to play

Personally I think he's a better player than Sterling but that's a completely different argument, point being made is that Sterling's development has been enhanced through playing time whilst AOC's has stalled.

I know he's suffered injuries of course which has set him back a great deal but he's been available for a while now and was starting to find his feet (he was threatening against Besiktas) then Wenger killed his momentum.

When Theo's not about then this should be a shoe-in. Hope he starts on the flank this weekend with Alexis and Welbeck all surrounding Ozil which would give the latter plenty of options to find

"Ox is better with both feet, much better penetration where he's able to take on a higher amount of players in one play."

I've seen no evidence he's better with both feet and I don't understand the 2nd comment because Sterling is easily a better dribbler than Ox.

Sterling's better dribbler one and one but Ox can draw and take on multiple players at a time a lot better i.e

"Let's just forget United, Milan, Munich as few examples then"

Had a few good moments against Milan and Munich. Hardly "ripping them apart". The point being he has never come close to the consistency of Sterling. Or Sterling's performance when Liverpool was mauling Arsenal, United and Spurs last season.

No, he can't. Sterling is just a better dribbler. Easily.

^It's worth noting that he also had 10 successful dribbles vs Munich - including that one - which was as many as the entire Bayern Munich team combined. This also includes him completely skinning one of the best LBs in the world in Alaba.

He also had as many successful dribbles as the entire Everton team when we faced them a few weeks ago, despite being subbed off early.

He's an incredibly direct and dangerous player.

Which is the point of the article content. He never gets the opportunity to put a consistent run together either through injury or Arsene's indecisiveness.

You'll probably go on to tell me that 'if he plays well enough, he'll stay in the team' but this is never the case with him in particular...

So much that you remember people were questioning whether Arsene was limiting his minutes due to a clause that might see us paying Southampton more money because at one point his lack of playing time was unjustified and still is

Who cares who's better. They play in separate teams. We should be comparing ox's ability and effectiveness against players in our own squad. It doesn't matter if he's better or worse than sterling, that has no bearing on whether he should play for us. So let's not debate something that will obviously never be agreed upon across supporters, it just becomes childish.

Anyway. I agree he should be given a chance. I'd like to see him on either flank. He'll be far more effective on the wing that cazorla or Ozil, or any other central player forced out there. I know wenger likes a creative player on the wings, but I think Sanchez creates more chances for himself or other on the flanks then Ozil or cazorla do. So I think we don't need an out and out creative player there. I think ox and Sanchez work well. Both pacey, direct will create chances and cause many problems for defence. Plus both will work hard for the team, so hopefully we'd be less vulnerable to counters down the wings.

He won't play as we apparently need to fit as many CMs as possible in the team.

Inventor why do you always have to do this? You always have to find a way to fit in that the Ox is better than Sterling. I rate the Ox, and I think he's got potential, but right now, not only is Sterling comfortably better, he's also looks like he has far more potential.

Sterling is 19 years old, and is already one of the stand out players in the prem, consistently producing solid displays, and has become one of Liverpool's most important players. Stop embarrassing us by constantly coming up with this BS Ox > Sterling argument.

On topic, I do agree that he should be starting while Theo is out, and this should be his time to shine, not be sitting on the bench. Everyone and his dog can see that Ozil isn't currently producing the goods, and especially isn't producing them from the wing, how Wenger is persisting with it is just baffling.

For me, considering Ramsey's sub stand form at the moment, I'd drop him, play Wilshere in the Box to box role and put Ozil at no.10, with Ox and Sanchez on the wings, which should vastly improve our counter attack game.

But if I'm being honest, I simply can't wait for Theo to be back from injury and on form, he offers us so much, and it might force Wenger's hand into ditching this stupid idea of one pacy, dynamic winger, and one playmake winger, as it just isn't working at the moment.

Sterling's performances are so spectacular at the minute it makes him a good example to use on how effective I believe Ox can be.

Let's say I have personal bar set for how well I think the Ox can do with good run and that bar is set higher than Sterling's current displays.

It's also a way to reiterate my point about giving the young talent opportunity especially if it's to come at the expense of our central players awkwardly being thrown out there.

Ox is a very talented player with world class potential and he really needs to develop through playing time, like Sterling
