REALITY CHECK PART TWO !

Has the wheel fallen off ?
Not yet, but its got one hell of a wobble at the moment.

Tactics wrong ?
Yes, yes, yes, one up front, wrong, wrong, wrong.

Have we got back up when players like Adkins and McGurk can not play ?
No, we have not replaced Kee and we need to dip into the loan market to strengthen the team.

Beavon had work his nuts off, because he had zero support up front. This reminded me so much of what Kee had to deal with before.
Our two young rookies lacked experience and got found out , they should not have started, but maybe come on later in the game.
Two of the goals where beyond a joke and a complete comedy of errors.

We need to dust ourselves down get back up and forget about this nightmare of a week.

We need to play more attacking football , with Adkins, McGurk and Beavon up front, all this sitting back only invites teams on to us and with wave after wave of them attacking, one will go in.

I know today we never had that option, but Knowles should have played next to Beavon from the start.
lets hope this is a big wake up call for GR and the team.
PS.
Congratulations to Lucas Adkins on the birth of your baby !

I am not a fan of being defensive in any game - home or away. That said, on another day with the formation at Bury we might have snuffed out their midfield and thus nullified their attack. We might have bagged a goal, gone down the M6 with 3 points and GR would have been a tactical genius.

You win some, you lose some.

What is clear is that we need extra players. I found it bizarre during the lead up to the close of the transfer window when GR said he wasn't going to rush in and get someone. He knew the quality players he wanted and he would go for those players at the right time. Within 24 hours he had signed Jacob Blyth. With the greatest respect to Jacob I don't think he is what we need.
