Last week we embarrassed HUdds, the game b4 we humbled a very strong Bournemouth side. Today we faced a team who were caned in ther 2 previous games against Norwich and Bor and lost this league arrgh!!
Apart from Silvestri again showing he is imo the top goalie in this division, everyone was anonymous. The team was just sterile from top to bottom, how we even managed a to get a shot on goal is a mystery. The diamond was exposed very clearly today. If u play such a system u are always gonna struggle against agile and energetic players.
My pre match feeling was not to far from the result as Brentford are not where they are by fluke, they spent money and have promotion momentum. Our approach was very telling today, we just got it wrong.
This doesnt change my view that we are gelling into a scary good team in this division and every dog has its day (pun intended Waltz)
Reading have the tools to smash us on Wednesday, but we do with them. The team may have to use its squad wisely now, and we need to think about the October and its potential to shape our season.
Reading will come with a very good experienced and talented team, a team who like us create many chances. Again with a derby on Saturday in front of a big crowd, the players may again give less than 100% and experience a mid week caning.
One swallow doesnt make a summer, but one snowflake doesnt make a game of thrones winter. Our last 5 games have shown we are on the up, so lets not look too deeply into this one.

Milanic likes wingers so dnt be surprised to see him utilised soon.
In his interview he said we lacked attacking bite today and imo he will look at the squad and find out what he can do to give us a plan b.
Redders had a great plan a however nobody had countered it, so now we shall see sooner than expected what we are made of.

I think yesterday is just a reality check for those getting a bit excited over what has been, from a performance perspective, one good half against Bournemouth and a good game against Huddersfield.
There will be ups and downs, inconsistency is more normal than not when a new side or new system is gelling. It's frustrating though when you see signs of real encouragement followed by the same old dross.
Marching on together with two steps forward and one step back.

They have shipped 5 goals in 2 games.
3 nil and 4 nil against canaries and boro.
They are dodgy at the bk...
we are potent up front....
They do win 1 nil often apart from Brighton where they won 3-2.
head says a heavy win, heart says sqeeze a 2-1 win.
They also have a London derby on Tuesday, so may not go all out.

But his pre match feeling was a Leeds win. And the result was a loss. So how does that translate to his pre match feeling was not far from the result when it was the complete opposite?!
