And has looked poor so far this season when he's had the chance.

Barely had a chance has he?
Edwards has had many games and not really had a big impact, though results are good, so no need for haste, just my preference.

edwards nearly scored the winner on sunday. he did score the winner when played earlier in the season. there's four points worth of impact straight away
Edwards to start, jacobs to come on after an hour or so IF his attitude is right

Gossip is that Dicko will be fit for Wednesday but that Doherty may well not be

Jacobs by his own admission is not playing well enough to make the team at the moment (but he's working on it)
DJ is right, Edwards should be used as an impact sub so that he can come on and pretend to score like he did yesterday. Am I the only one who saw that 'Edwards' goal' was an own goal?
Why Pundit suggests that we should start on Wednesday with Van la Parra instead of Henry is a mystery to me. Henry is one of the strongest players we have and was MOM yesterday.
Agree that MacDonald and Doherty were not at their best yesterday and Sako was less affective than normal but that was mainly due to Reading's players mobbing him at every opportunity.
And yes, I finally admit it, Clarke is carp and would be best loaned out to a div 1 side which is evidently his level.
I reckon Huddersfield will get their udders felt on Wednesday. I predict 4-0 to the good guys.
Assuming Dicko is fit and Doherty isn't I would go with

Not sure why you’d push fop Rowe Gem, he’s played 15minutes of football for us, what have you seen during that spell that makes you think he’d be an improvement on DE?
Obviously if KJ thinks he’ll improve things fine but I’m not sure any of us are in a position to make that call yet.
If Doherty is out Ricketts would be my first choice replacement but other than SR & DE I’d go with your XI.

no you are quite right Tatts, I haven't seen much of Rowe either and certainly don't profess to know any more about him than anyone else. It comes down to the other choices, as I said I think Dave Edwards is very effective as a sub when his pace can really bother defenders with tired legs. Jacobs - who would normally be my first choice for that position - has said himself that he is not good enough at present. And Saville has really not impressed me much at all. Tommy Rowe came with a good pedigree and Kenny seemed quite excited to land him so I just think perhaps it's time for him to be given a chance to show what he can do.
As far as Big Sam is concerned, I probably have more respect for him than most and I was shocked to see that he didn't even make the bench yesterday. So I am assuming that he has had a knock in training and is not available for Wednesday. If he is available then I agree and he should be in for Doc if he's injured.
