We've seen this movie before.

So Ramsey is out for 6 weeks with some sort of thigh injury. Arteta is also out for 2-3 weeks and Wilshere is a doubt for Galatasaray.

It's quite ironic how we turned down Fabregas becasue we had Ramsey, Wilshere and Ozil and yet could well go into the game at Stamford Bridge with Flamini and Coquelin in midfield. Don't even want to think about that tbh.

Anyway, reading the injury about Ramsey, I was kind of like 'meh'. Who really cares. It was always gonna happen. I just don't care anymore, I remember when RVP would get 6 week injuries, I was pĂssed off and then when those 6 weeks become 6 months I was devastated, but for some reason, Arsenal don't seem to toy with my emotions anymore.

When Chadli scored on Saturday I felt nothing. Kind of a shrug of the shoulders thinking 'yea that seems right'. When Spurs beat us 3-2 at the Emirates a few years ago I was inconsolable, I had popped open a bottle of vodka at 3pm. And later that season when we lost to Birmingham in the cup, I talked to nobody for 2 days and snuck around the house to make food when none of my family were about. But when we beat Hull, I was just relieved if anything, I didn't feel the joy I thought I would feel, or maybe would have felt back when we should have beat Birmingham.

Does anyone feel like this? I just feel like my passion for Arsenal is waning, like I am bored of them or something. It's just the same thing every season, we've almost become a parody of ourselves. We always leave ourselves short of 2 or 3 players we have the resources to but refuse to sign to help us compete. We always pick up numerous injuries at key parts of the season (I genuinely am not exaggerating when I think the 3-1 draw at home to Chelsea in 2010 is the last time we had a full strength team to take on one of our title rivals), we always crack when it matters most, we concede goals from counter attacks, set pieces or individual errors, it's always been like that and it will never change. We always miss easy chances, we always take an eternity to get going, we always need a kick up the backside from the opposition scoring to raise our game, we always come close but seem so far away.

Pretty much I feel like we must be the most boring club in the world to follow, because we all know where we are going to finish every season. It's just 1 step forward, 1 step back, or vice versa. The cycle repeats year after year after year and it's boring as hell. I just want that spark back at Arsenal, something to change, something to get excited. We have Chelsea around the corner and I KNOW we are going to get spanked and I don't even care. I could write a script minute for minute how the game will go and I don't think I'd be that far off, that's how predictable we've become.

Does anyone else feel kind of like I do?

Ive never wanted wenger out but now im starting to question myself because I just cant see us getting any better under him

Same old....every year. For years I thought we have financial restrictions that hinder us to spend. But that is now behind us and Wenger not doing the bit extra. I can understand you WNM. I feel the same.

Wenger has done a fine job to get us where we are now. That's keeping us in the CL, securing 4th place year after year whilst building a new stadium. He really has looked after the books financially.

I believe his to old and now set in his ways to show anyway forward and as I have mentioned time after time, not buying Cesc was the last straw for me!

His time is now over, we need a manager to take us to the next level now that we have such a secure financial platform. We have the money to invest and we need a manager that can build a truly worthwhile team fitting of our great stadium. Wenger has proven without doubt this is not the man to do this although he was the man that provided the platform.

It's at this point he should depart IMO. Like the Op is suggesting, the longer he goes on, the passion seems to be drying up in us supporters, The balance of his teams is all over the place and the football at times very boring to watch.

Where has all the post fa cup/Sanchez optimism gone? This place was buzzing around then. Has all that really disappeared all on account of not buying a dm and back up cb? This all seems very OTT, ive gotta say.

Im pessimistic about many things but I cant buy into this whole depression mode this forum seems to have fallen into. I still think we are on for big things this season. Bookmark

And what are we going to laugh about in a few months? Another dogfight for the top 4 trophy and predictable elimination to the first decent side we meet in the CL second round. I don't know if you're a subtle wum or you actually believe half the "optimist" crap you write, Godfather. You're insanely deluded.

We'll see wont we? Ive put my cards on the table so the evidence is here forever. If in 2 months you are all as bleak/non passionate about the club as you are now I will have wrong and you will have been right

As I said though I cant get my head around this article, and the general feeling here. Yes maybe the previous few years the same pattern occured, but this season is very different. We have imo the best collection of players playing for Arsenal since Henry's time. Surely that is undeniable? If not, what squad has been better in the last ten years?

They have obviously improved mentally too ( we have gone behind 4 out of the 6 league games we have played aparently yet still have not lost.) We have just won a couple of trophies so no monkey on back so to speak. Even the players seem more optimistc, no heads have gone down yet everyone speaking of winning stuff, beating Chelsea etc. At the momment all I see is a lack of cohesion between the players which is probably down to the many new faces.Even this is improving. Soon Theo will be back, almost certainly our most dangerous player. The injury situation needs to slow down for a bit for sure.

So far, what of that stuff I've written is deluded? ^

We are literally a little bit of form away from doing a chelsea and winning several games in a row. We have hit no form at all this season yet still sit in fourth, normally we would have lost a couple of games by now in this average form we are in. This year is different due to the talent at disposal. The only position we are weak and I'll agree with the pessimism and agree with the 'ground hog day' comparisons is in DM as Flamini seems done for.

This season is make or break and different to any season for the last 10 years, its most certainly not 'same old same old' though, thats for sure

Stopped reading at the mention of Fabregas. When will people get over that traitor.

Godfather, if we lose against Chelsea we will be 12 points behind them in the table. That means already 4 games to lose for Chelsea in the League to level with them. So add to this that other teams like City at least fight also for the title it's moreless impossible to win the League.

CL League title is not a realistic target for us. So that leave us only for the FA cup.
