Chambers - DM and Bellerin as R/B?

NO. This is a must win game. Although Flamini is full of errors, Chambers has never played that position before. Huge risk in a match of this importance

I wouldn't play Bellerin against Chelsea. We need a more defensive RB for that game.

I actually think Coq is a decent option at RB.

Regardless, you can't blood Chambers in midfield in these games we have coming up. He may have a future there but the amount of pressure and lack of time on the ball compared to playing in the back 4 is a huge difference. Receiving the ball from the defence with your back to play and having to turn and make quick passing decisions under pressure is a hell of a lot more difficult than being the defender playing out and being able to see the whole game in front of you.

I do agree that Flamini ain't cutting it though. Ahh what a predicament...

I dont think you will find a single person who doesnt think Flamini is awful at the mo. However i'm wondering if he has truly lost it for good, or he is just going through a bad patch? He seems to have lost a yard of pace but perhaps its just bad form making him look slow? We are patient with players like Ozil etc because we know what they can achieve, should we be doing same with Flam? He was pretty good in a few matches last year, but at the age of 30 perhaps he simply isnt good enough anymore for that destructive midfielder role?

I think a fairly straightforward home game against gala would be a perfect opertunity to use Chambers in that holding role

I dont know about 'much better' but this should be a fairly straightforward game regardless. We always do well in the CL at home. Besiktas played really well, and Ba was unplayable at times.

At 30 a player shouldn't be past it, I think he or arteta are exposed a lot by our very open play, 4141 is isolating him or arteta, we don't play it right, full backs pushed on 2 centre midfielders pushed further up and our centre backs dropping because of Mertesackers lack of pace leaves the defensive midfield one exposed, look at how Germany play the system, they left Mertesacker out and fielded centrebacks at full back who naturally defended first, any decent defensive midfielder would struggle the way we're set up, it's not necessarily the answer a superman anchor midfielder.
