Frank, Lucy Ward (head of education and welfare at the academy) reckoned he should play a few more games for the U21's. She thought Adryan would benefit from that and be ready to go around the turn of the year.
Incidentally, the U21's are playing Colchester tomorrow night, live on LUTV.

jamie, am sure some of these players have been promised places, can be the only way to explain Beradi.

Well, from what I've seen of him so far, I definitely couldn't explain why he's ahead of Byram in the pecking order. It's too early really to judge how good he will be in the coming weeks. I hope it's worth waiting for.
I'd be surprised if the incoming players weren't given an indication they would get games fairly quickly.

jamie, with regards to the loanees, i.e. Adryan, you have to see how they cope in first team to be able to make an informed judgement, so surely we'll see him playing some full matches.

Benedidic on the other hand has not impressed and it sounds like he'll go back to Milan for an op.

Jonty, Lucy Ward remarked that Adryan had been blowing a bit in the closing stages against Donny. I recall you pointing out that playing a younger squad was a whole lot less demanding than the Championship. I agree, though I'm dying to watch his performance yesterday. I think he possibly hadn't played enough football to reach full fitness and stamina levels.

jamie, it;s a big step up from dev squad to first team , to just the football but also the stadia, crowds and environment. A lot of these new players are used to much smaller crowds etc.

The little bit on FLS didn't really feature much of him bar the quick feet he showed to get past a couple of defenders and get a shot in. He didn't look nervous or phased by what was around him. I know 13 thousand isn't a big crowd but it was a sell out in a small stadium.

This is work in progress. Most of the squad has shown ability and as a team performances are generally improving.

I expect a better final position than last season and if the squad sticks together we will motor next season.

Jamie

Stevie, I think to have a chance of motoring next season we need to keep a manager for the whole season.

That would be a good place to start. Job security for his employees doesn't seem to be something Cellino has given much thought to. Who knows what DM must be thinking, with a pretty stiff run of fixtures coming up? Some are already predicting he'll be gone by Christmas. How the hell would that be helpful? Two points from twelve isn't a very convincing start, but do we know who actually picks the team? Or is Milanic just another disposable patsy?
