Another Wonderful Premier League Day

After witnessing my beloved Baça struggle past Eibar I thought I'd post about my true love - Premier League football.

It's just one of those days where I love being a ... well what my friends call a freak! Through the magic of Satellite, TDT (digital terrestrial TV) and a couple of internet TV smart boxes, I have witnessed another fantastic day of Premier League football.

PERFORMACE OF THE DAY - Southampton - a match which I unfortunately sacrificed but WOW, what a performance. An honourable mention for Hull too!

GOAL OF THE DAY - Still one of my heroes, Cesc Fabregas - we could certainly do with his talents this year. A shame our club treated him so badly.

PLAYER OF THE DAY - Probably Aguero. The man is class.

ATMOSPHERE OF THE DAY - granted, it's only through the TV but Selhurt Park was bouncing!

"PENOSOS" (pathetic performance) of the day - Two. Poor Sunderland, it must have been embarrassing and Tottenham, still the Jekyll and Hyde of English football.

REFEREE OF THE DAY - The ref at the Palace - Chelsea game got every decision right.

MOAN OF THE DAY - I've finally found a coach with less class than Mourinho and it is the Crystal Palace coach. What a moan and totally unjustified!

EMBARRASSING - Arsenal. It's just getting embarrassing now. The decision not to buy a top class keeper, defender, holding player, midfielder and striker - at at least a couple of these is coming back to haunt Wenger. Surely just Cesc, while not all the answer, would have given more to this team?

Roll on next Saturday!

Unfortunately Fabregas was never going to get into that Barcelona team in his favoured CM position ahead of Busquets, Xavi or Iniesta who is sometimes deployed there. He's not a "false 9" or any of that behind the striker type of player nonsense. Jose has pulled off a brilliant signing and knows exactly how to play the lad. Wish we could have been in for him because Barca's loss is Chelsea's massive gain - great player.

Fabregas would've improved Arsenal, but not solved the current crisis. Heck Sanchez who's been one hell of a signing, can't solve the defence.

No, I have no real favourite really. I love the tough sides like Crystal Palace or Hull as they never give the opposition an easy game. I love City because I think they have a wonderful squad. I think Chelsea's pragmatism is great. In fact, the only team I really am not fond of is Liverpool and I'm not quite sure why - maybe because I don't like the way Brendan Rodgers or Steven Gerrard speak. I love the fact that the smaller teams have a go. I love the atmosphere and the variation. This season, I certainly don't like Arsenal, who I think have not developed in 10 years - they are still playing the same football and same tactics as a decade ago.
