Died on this day 22/10/1996 in a unfortunate helicopter accident.
Along side Ken Bates largely responsible for turning the fortunes of Chelseafc around in the 90s.
You are remembered and not forgotten.
R.I.P. Matthew Harding.

Wow nearly 20 years. Now that is scary. Remember the atmosphere the first home game after he died. Emotional affair.

Smacked Tottenham at the Bridge, Nick?
Similar to Flashy's article yesterday, I remember going to bed gutted because we got knocked out of the Coca Cola by Bolton. Then hearing the news in the morning and feeling stunned.

I was at the bridge when we played you in the first game after he died, the minute silence was impeccably observed and your lot even clapped us
I think most spurs fans realised Mathew Harding was a proper fan who loved your club and was prepared to put his money into Chelsea to help improve your side.
Normal bloke who never really changed even after earning lots of money.
