Not quite

As I left the game yesterday I felt quite pleased with the result and performance. However reflecting on it on the way home I think that may be more to do with us finishing the game well. There were large parts of that game where we were frustratingly poor.

We didn't actually create any chances really besides the goals. We scored 2 from two brilliant pieces of play. But as a team I thought we were poor again. We do not look dangerous at all (unless you give the ball to Antonio) and we are creating very little in terms of chances. I am
Concerned that at the moment we are a team of individuals and that's it.

Tactically I think something is wrong. Or at least we need to evolve. We need to be more dangerous on the ball and be on the front foot more. Brit has been horribly isolated the last 2 games and it's painful to watch. I cannot Understand why SP did not bring on subs when we got to 2-2. We could have tried to win it. He bought Fryatt on in the 91st minute. He seems very reluctant to change anything for some reason.

But overall it's a good point at Watford. We were better than we were on Saturday. At the moment we are just a collection of imdividuals because we have a new team and new manager. Hopefully we will continue to improve and sneak a playoff spot.

That's the point. We started so well expectations got raised, but this squad has been torn apart and rebuilt over the summer and we shouldn't expect it to gel overnight - especially when key players like Cohen, Reid and Hobbs are sidelined.

I'd still hope for something better than sneaking into the playoffs. I'm hoping Vaughan and Tesche will form a midfield platform for better service to the strikers.

Most used comments on the forest board this season, Cohen, .Reid & Hobbs, believe me lads it's getting really boring.

Ever hear of a squad?

Maybe that's because you're always on our board listening to our conversations. Go away and concentrate on your own team, and hope you don't get long term injuries to Keogh, Hughes and Hendrick.

I'd be disappointed to see Patterson go out on loan as I reckon he could been good as an impact sub IMO, but he is successful as McLaughlin, who is ripping it up at Meadow Lane at the moment apparently, then maybe it could pay dividends in the long run.

Read Ramdini or Vidal's Forest related posts, now that's boring.............

I think the reason Patterson doesn't get a look in is because Burke is such a good player. He is so consistent and always able to produce a cross like the one on Tuesday. So I can see why SP doesn't stray with Patterson and think hats fair enough.

I am Surprised he doesn't get bought on in games though. Especially given we have drawn so many. It does seem frustrating in a way because he has looked so dangerous in the past. I think most fans would possibly put him in here starting 11 based on past performances. So that makes it difficult to see why he is never given a chance!

I'm wondering if he had a little niggle at the weekend, and that's why he wasn't even on the bench against Cardiff. Burke isn't rated by quite a few of our fans it seems but he does work hard for the team and covers some of the bits that doesn't always get recognised.

Funny thing is I saw criticism of Britt from someone asking other than goals what does he bring to the team (after he went through a 3 game drought ). Surely must of been on the wind up, the guy works his backside off and has just been a bit isolated lately. It's funny how many times it's him clearing the ball from opposition corners and free kicks. He's not one of those lazy poachers that's for sure

He's not in the same league as Burke or Antonio yet, though. And as much as I hope he comes good, he faded massively after a great spell last season. Maybe Pearce just doesn't believe he's ready at the moment - he knows a lot more about him than any of us do.

Pato also gave the ball away a lot against Spurs, was taking on players when he should have been taking the option to pass on a number of those occasions. Those that say Burke should be dropped at Pato bought in to replace him immediately are doing so on the basis of a few good performances last season.
