Rowett for Brum? Who for Brewers?

Ok ,I'm playing devils advocate here by assuming he will go.
I was at the fans forum & it seemed to me by turning down Blackpool he was waiting for something like this.
Will be sorry to see him leave as he's just given us our best 2 seasons ever & assembled a team capable of winning this league.
If he goes & I think he will, who would we want to take over.
Be interesting as there are lots of big names out of work who would now relish managing not so Little Old Burton.
Training facilities that most clubs can only dream of.
Big decision for Chairman Ben coming up & no! not Roy McFarland.
Gentleman I await your views with interest.

It looks very likely to me that GR will go. If he takes Kevin Summerfield with him, as I'm sure he would, that would be a double blow. Kevin was a superb coach at my club (Swindon) and was responsible for a lot of the success we had under Paul Sturrock.

I sincerely hope you keep your excellent management team but sadly I fear the worst. If it does happen there will be a lot of interest in the vacancy, it's clear to everyone you're a team on the up.

Good luck from your resident robin.

He's done a great job, and I wish him well whatever he chooses to do. Obviously my preference would be for him to stay with the Brewers, but it would be perfectly understandable if he decided to move on and accept a bigger challenge at Brum.
Imagine this, though: if the Blues are relegated and we're promoted, we could be playing each other in League 1 next season.
[Big "ifs", I know.]

Yeah, that would teach him!

Don, I can think of another ex Blue nose player currently doing very well as a manager but at a League 1 club. You do know who I am talking about I trust.

Yes, Otep, I do. And Mark Coopers' dad Terry managed Brum in the early 1990s. I saw Terry Cooper playing for Leeds at Chelsea in the early 1970s, fantastic full back and he scored a stunning goal in a 5-2 win which I can still remember (although nowadays I can walk into a room and forget why I've gone in there, little wonder my wife says I only care about football!).

If Mr Rowett moves on, I wouldn't be surprised to see Darren Moore become our new manager

I think Ben will stick with his preference for a young first-time manager.
What he won't go for is a journeyman manager who has gone from club to club leaving them all in a worse state than he found them. That rules out most names on the currently-out-of-work list.

Yes think about his apointments not that there have been that many ,but they have been to young ex players wanting to become a manager with their relevant badges . But Gary hasnt gone yet ,and the 0-8 scoreline today will have shocked him rigged ,even if he is offered the position .

Yes, there's certainly a lot of work to do at Birmingham (understatement of the year)!
