To Hull And Back

So after an energy sapping CL defeat what team do we envisage starting against Hull at Anfield on Saturday?

They got a good draw at Arsenal last week so will come with a bit of confidence and are a tough side to beat.

Huddlestone, Livermore and Diame give them good power in midfield, while Hernandez and Ben Arfa are players who can cause anyone problems on their day. They are a big side and will likely pose a serious threat on crosses given our inability to defend them.

They usually play 5-3-2, or 3-5-2 depending on how you look at it and with Ben Arfa dropping in to midfield as well we really need to attack with width to cause them problems.

A bonus for us could be them being down to their 3rd choice keeper due to injury. I know nothing about him but he can't be that good or he wouldn't be Hull's 3rd choice keeper!

I am not sure how we should line up in truth but we will need to freshen the team up as there is bound to be an intensity drop for some of those who played most of the game last night.

The likes of Enrique, Manquillo, Can, Lallana, Lambert all surely have a good chance of starting. Particularly Can and Lambert as we need more size to defend the set pieces.

I am kind of hoping Rossiter gets given more game time soon. He was by all accounts outstanding for the U19's in midweek. I know he is only 17 but he has such presence and plays intelligently, way beyond his years. He might be a curve ball stable influence at the base of the midfield. Hopefully he will start against Swansea in the Cap 1.

Very sporting of you. Though I'm off work next week, so my time on here will be minimal.

Shall we make it a fortnight, loser buys the 's?

Nothing in this thread suggests a change.

320 complaints ?

Yes I was never given the opportunity to ask how many of those 320 complaints were upheld i.e. they agreed with. I'd wager it was 95-98%. So they agreed with me, removed all those posts, then kicked me out for it.

The Celtic pronunciation thread still baffles me as to why the simplest of questions was greeted with so much animosity.

This site, like the BBC one before it, used to say that it was up to us the users to report offensive comments. So I did. Looking around here now, well, the bar is set much much MUCH lower, anything seems to be allowed. So why would I care?

Hardly, when I'm still posting on those threads and see that at least one of the only two people, with the power to remove the abusive posts, has agreed with me and done so. No guessing required. So why do you say I have no idea?

Whiney wum is nice alliteration but I was neither. A wum sets out to wind people up, not my style. As for getting wound up, by this bunch of numpties? Please!
