Sour Grapes

"Chelsea captain John Terry has claimed he and fellow defender Branislav Ivanovic were "double headlocked at every corner" during the Premier League leaders' 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Sunday"

Can you smell it, that distinct smell of sour grape, these two, Terry and Ivanovic are two of the biggest culprits in the premier league, now the shoe is on the other foot they don't like it

I don't think you know what "sour grapes" means.

Say they have got it spot on. Skrtel is the worst offender in the league, can't recall seeing Terry or Ivanovic do it that much tbh but if you have evidence I'd love to see it.

Skrtel is the worst, Smalling is pretty bad too. Let's be honest though, even down to a bit of shirt pulling (or gripping) is still outside the laws of the game and EVERY defender does it - písses me off.

Agree, sadly it's the sort of thing that I guess ref's can't penalise EVERY time because it would result in 40 free kicks a game and probably 5 or 6 penalties

He has very bad memories of the last kick of the ball in big matches against United

If you are talking about what I think you are

It wasn't actually the last kick

Whitewall

The draw was important because we have been going through some massive changes at United over the last 18 months and Sunday was a big step in the right direction

I do know what you mean though. We've had a terrible start to the season and celebrating a home draw is not something I'm particularly into tbh no matter who the opposition

Getting top 4 and back into the CL is a must for us, but again, I won't be overly celebrating it

United coming second in anything is nothing to celebrate whatsoever

Terry doesn't do that...he just kicks players in the back of the leg and then says that he was just "protecting himself".

No doubt Rojo was just protecting himself too, eh John?

Has to be said, late in the second half, Phil Dowd did spot some shirt grabbing and holding in the area. He spotted Filipe Luis holding onto RVP. Sensibly, he stopped ADM from taking the free kick, giving him time to warn the Chelsea defender to stop the fouling. If he hadn't done that then Chelsea would have conceded a penalty. He might not have awarded Chelsea a pen at one end (lets be honest though, John Terry was the first offender at that free kick), but he certainly stopped Chelsea conceding one at the other end.
