As part of Poppy Day (?) a number of London's clubs best and brightest are offering their voices to London Underground's tannoy thingy.
So if you live or work near your club get down to the local station and hear Arsene bellow 'Mind the Gap' or JT politely remind you to be vigilant of unattended packages
Arsenal - Arsene Wenger and Mikel Arteta - Arsenal, Holloway Road, Finsbury Park
Chelsea - John Terry - Fulham Broadway, Earl's Court, West Brompton
Spurs - Andros Townsend and Ben Davies - Seven Sisters, Tottenham Hale, Tottenham Court Road
QPR - Joey Barton and Rob Green - White City, Wood Lane, Shepherd's Bush Market
Fulham - Scott Parker and Dan Burn - Putney Bridge, Parson's Green
Disableds - Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson - London Bridge, Angel, Islington

Giroulski thats a cőck-eyed view at history in the first months maybe the volunteers were a bit Lt. George but by the time of the Somme most would have turned into Wilfred Owen
The Poppy represents those who died in war, the moment we start forgetting or disregarding it is when Lt Georges stqrt popping up again looking for a chance to go beat up Gerry or in todays case "shoot some arabs"
Boohoo is some sectors require it, they do so because its right. .. although there clearly needs to be some more education on the subject to stop people like you regarding it as some oppressive colonial bit of jewellery

Dont think the Legion paints them all as heroes, it sells poppies to help care for veterans who arent looked after by the govt. Maybe youre thinking of Help for Heroes who are a less concerned Vets and spend a lot of what they receive on marketing
Noone should be forced to wear one but I dont see the problem with being expected to follow this convention. If I saw someone not wearing one close to the 11th I doubt id notice or care
but if someone told me they refuse to wear one because they dont like being told what to do id think they were a bit misguided and possibly a díck

I always buy one and wear it

How deluded do you have to be to think dog poo is better to stand in than cow pat? Did you not see the 2005 CL final?
