Eric,.I'm inclined to believe MC was protecting NR.But,for the reason that MC knows that NR is invaluable to his long term ambitions for the club....I think he was possibly waiting for a year or so down the line before giving him the job, and he knows for sure NR is just as popular as himself with the fans.I don't think MC will want to alienate himself from the fans by falling out with NR...This appointment could possibly be the biggest and best he's ever made for a coach...Hopefully.

Let's hope the lads do respond to Neil being back
at the helm, with a win. And hopefully, a win with
some style thrown in. I know we can all agree on that.

You know as well as I do that we could win 5 - 0 and someone will want to have a go at Massimo Cellino because he clashes with the curtains...!

Redfearn isn't a man to be trusted apparently, if you read comments elsewhere.....
My view is he's a Leeds United man through and through and like most Leeds United fans, genuinely wants success.
Holding out for the "right" deal demonstrates that he's not going to be a walk over. Whoever takes this job on is going to have a steely determination to do things their own way. Results will then truly determine their fate.
Could be the reason he distanced himself from the dugout? Who knows? Who cares?
Despite the conspiracy theories I think Milanic was determined to do things his way and paid the price for not delivering, albeit in a somewhat short space of time.
If Cellino is/was picking the team, determining the tactics etc., then how can he accuse his coach of tactical negativity? Seems to me the big MC will have his detractors come what may.
I hope Redfearn proves me wrong and steps up to plate bringing with him the optimism most fans felt during his brief tenure just over a month ago. What did impress me was the battling spirit from a young team and a desire to play football the right way.
We saw the best, at that time, from a good number of the youngsters and the newbies. On and off the ball.
Whatever the dynamics it makes for another interesting time at Leeds United.
Stability will come, I'm sure, and Cellino will soon realise just how good a Ferrari this club really is. If Redfearn is the best driver for the job, then let the good times roll......

He's bought his own sandwiches in. I think that's been banned since the cafe was reopened. Didn't pay his 50p fine. HMRC are all over it.......
