Usmanov's concern

Usmanov: "I like Arsene for his principles, but principles are sort of restriction. And restrictions are always lost possibilities."

Usmanov: "I wish the club well, but we just repeat same results year by year. As an investor I am not happy with that."

----

To say he is unhappy is an understatement, but what's his position on the board? Could he try to force Wenger out or something? He seems to be a very rich and powerful guy.

Usmanov has no experience in any kind of sporting venture, never mind football, so why should the sporting side of the club listen to anything he has to say in relation to club strategy?

At least KSE have knowledge in the field. We could end up with a despot situation (akin to many other poorly run clubs) whereby the controlling individual makes strategic sporting decisions.

Imagine Usmanov was in a position to oust AW, would anyone be confident of him bringing in the right replacement?

would kroenke?

what does kroenke know about football???

FFS he learnt everything off arsene wenger.

That is another point I criticise. Kroenke is not a football man.

KSE have stakes in various US sports (basketball, hockey, etc) but also own the St Louis Rams and Colorado Rapids football clubs.

When compared to Usmanov KSE have a wealth of experience.

How would Kroenke being a "football" man help Wenger?! Are you expecting Kroenke to give tactical advice to Wenger?!

Also to make clear it is incorrect to refer to Kronke (Stan) as the individual responsible (unlike Usmanov).

His son Josh now has more of a hand’s on role (on the board) and he is assisted by a number of others from the KSE group.

How many of KSE's franchises can be deemed successful though?

The current Arsenal fit their profile perfectly.

Unfortunately enough.

Agree. However if given the choice between KSE and Usmanov (who essentially is a non-entity in sport) surely there isn't a decision to make (ie what can Usmanov bring to the table that KSE cannot)?

Sounds like Usmanov wants Wenger to stay on, but wants to give him a kick in the ass or even a ultimatum which is fair.

What is Kroenke bringing to the table that Usmanov couldn't? Because he certainly isn't bring success on the football field.

And in response to your question, Usmanov could probably bring back Dein. Or at least liaise with Dein in a respectful manor to find suitable personnel.

The whole point is mute in anyway. As Serial said,do we expect the owner to give the manager tactical advise? No that's laughable. The first thing the owner needs to do is ensure that nobody is indispensable. Its a basic of owning any company, you have to be prepared for people to move on... which by many accounts we are not.
